Although you can type a password for your notes, it is not encrypted. In fact if you synch to the online with Toodledo, your password protected notes are all visible. Otherwise a good application. I would like to see a better implementation of user friendliness. But by far, encryption is needed to safegaurd private files... Especially once syched over the Internet.

As an ex Blackberry and ex Rex Wireless (ToDo Matrix and Idea Matrix) user, Appigos Notebook and ToDo are the closest thing Ive found to compare. Unfortunately, Notebook lacks a much needed level of hierarchy for better organizing. Appigo, please add.

Great, simple interface. Has enough customizability, without being overly complicated. Syncs flawlessly with Toodledo, while allowing full editing while not connected to the net. Love the feature that allows certain notes to be password-protected.

Everything one could ask for in a notes application. Of course it would be nice to have some format editing features and more web or desktop sync options. Ultimately, take it from someone who foolishly purchased every notes app, this is the best as of December 16th 2008.

Nice app - sadly rarely do I use it with the ToDo app. I just use it to take notes. For me I would like to be able sync with google docs. Better ability to bold (headlines) would be appreciated. Most importantly need to be able to bullet and indent easily. Overall a nice app - but currently if you dont need it with the ToDo app, there are other alternatives...

great app just have a suggestion for the next update please in the settigns menue provide a lock button so that the notes or categories of notes do not get deleted by the simple slide of the finger, becuase i unintentionally deleted a category of my notes like this while talking to my friend and my screen was on.

Great app but wish it offers ability to append/view PDF files, create subfolders within a notebook, photo/audio notes etc.

Really wish using a Bluetooth keyboard didnt lock up the app in weird ways (cant edit)

This is the best and the coolest notebook ever for witting it is the best you could even send people notes and more!!! I just love it you should buy it because you could do more then ever!!!

I have used toodle for several yrs now and I LOVE IT!!! All the personal and professional information I need is in ONE place and accessible ALL the time wireless availability or NOT! Its like having a packed full filing cabinet in my hands!!! Without a doubt this is the best app/program I have on my phone!!!

Its been a long time coming, but this app really needs an update. Things missing: an iPad version, Dropbox sync, and tags would be the top three on my list. A desktop interface would be nice too (on the back side of their Todo desktop would be super!). And finally, search results need to be highlighted when displayed (not just the note as a whole, but the place in the note where the search string was found).

Imported all of my 1,200 memos from my Palm Desktop! Using Toodledo and importing per category I have also been able to maintain my categories (very important). The synchronization is fast and flawless. Now Dropbox syncing between the iPhone version, the iPad version & desktop … life is good again. I have tried numerous competitors "note" applications, I have still not found one that provides a/ the folder utility, b/ the privacy options (very important), & c/ the formatting options Notebook provides. Cannot thank you enough for this app.

New version has extreme lagging on notes of large size. I also can no longer immediately scroll to the bottom of my notes.

Update: Sorry, spoke too soon. The syncing of one device to Dropbox works fine. However, if you want to sync between an iPad and an iPhone via Dropbox.... Not good at all. Essentially, it does not sync. Dont even bother. Ive contacted the developers but theres no word on when therell be a fix. Original review: Im a long-time Appigo user and love the newest version of the old standby. Finally a proper, full-size iPad version, thank you for the universality. The Dropbox syncing is pure and simply awesome! Highly recommended!

Ok reading the various reviews was a little confusing however the nominal price of $4.99 got the better of me and I am glad it did. Very straightforward and does exactly what it said it will. Spend the 5 minutes to go thru the instructions and enjoy. Yes it will sync via Drop box with out a hitch with my I pad and Todo application also running on my iPhone and iPad . A great bargain as both programs can cross sync, slick !

This company produces some of the very best apps! Notebook is great: its simple, and it syncs reliably between devices. Todo is another excellent bit of software!

I really like it, but I wished they had a desktop version.

Like one person wrote: "great app, but needs a desktop version (like ToDo)". Then I will change it to 5 stars.

After I saw that I could transfer my old Palm notes I was ecstatic. Then I learned of the extreme chore of using this App. It crashed more than 10 times during my transfers! Eventually after getting (most of) them loaded up it combined them into one category on the web site!? What a waste of time! Happy that I could upload not happy with the result. Love to give a higher review but I cant until they get the bugs out.

I have over 3000 notes and just upgraded to iOS 7 on my iPhone 5. Notebook keeps crashing. Love the app for organizing notes. Need iOS 7 compatibility.
