Abandoned

Looks like this app has been abandoned by Appigo. It no longer works with the latest version of their Todo app and it seems they have no plans to update it for iOS 7. Shame.

Love it

Now that the bugs are fixed Im loving this app again! Very simple to use.

New version disappointing

The latest update has eliminated offline access to notes. Cannot transfer notes to the iPhone or iPod touch for offline access. Notes are no longer formatted. I had bold and other formatting to make my notes clear and accessible . Editing notes is laborious, It was a good app before.

Must have

Great app; with toodledo context, and synchronization support.

Yet crashes

App crashes when length of note becomes zero on iOS 5.1.1 and 6.0 Please FIX IT

Works fine on device but doesnt sync

Not a useful app across devices. I have lots of notes so quite a waste.

Need fingerprint login

Need to have fingerprint login. Its been toooooo long.

Major Disappointment

Lost two hours of notes. Didnt save anything!

Beware before you upgrade - you cant go back

Ive been happy with Notebook 1.x for years. Unfortunately I made the bad mistake of upgrading to 2.x, which has a number of new limitations (and the new features are not very useful to me). The most important thing for you to know is, YOU CAN"T GO BACK. Even though I had my iPhone backed up with the old version, it would not restore it to the iPhone. I then downloaded version 2.x again from the iPhone updates, and this time I got charged full price to get the app I already owned. Not very pleasant. As far as I can see right now, you can choose how many lines of text to display when you have a list of notes in a collection, but you cant eliminate the display of the date last changed. A line of space wasted. Also in the old version it was possible to sort a list of tasks or notes alphabetically by the first letter, now I cannot find this function and although all of them are alphabetical in Toodledo, they are random on the iPhone. None of these issues are addressed in the limited help files. I have already wasted several hours when I had a perfectly operational app before, and I cant go back. I suggest users wait for awhile until Appigo gets it sorted out, or choose another app.

Needed feature

. Not pleased with latest update. Been using Notebook for over 4 yrs. have 17 notebooks for various notes and record keeping. Update no longer supports italics and bold options for emphasizing words or phrases. Every point of applying italics and/or bold in all my previous notes and records has been lost. Bring back drop down menu containing these tools as they were in the original version.

Fits my requirements

Overall I am pretty happy with Notebook. Its easy to use with a few basic format controls. I am a product manager who must lead several con calls each day. Taking notes in this app is fast and easy. Some of the other note taking apps were too fancy. Once the call is done, its a simple matter to email out the meeting notes. Finally Im a big DropBx fan, so this was a big plus for me. I also use the ToDo app but I havent tried the integration between ToDo and Notebook yet.

Awesome! Love the update for IPad

Great note taking app. Simple yet elegant with all the features you could think of. If you have ToDo, get this app and with a button you can import your tasks into a note, say if you want to add notes for each project or assignment. Developers did a great job. Highly recommended.

How to fix it

Just google how to downgrade iPhone apps. I did it. You have to find old notebook.iap file. Fix it guys!

Lost Data

I worked all day on an idea on the go - got home to go through it again - & it disappeared. Poof. I am not for certain it wasnt my fault (human error) but until this app has an undo and a history feature to retrieve deleted or former data I cannot trust it. It totally defeated my purpose of mobile computing.

Wrong Direction With Update

The application interface used to match ToDo. I cannot understand why they strayed so far from that excellent layout. It makes no sense. Folders now have no colors. The brown color of the app is a bit drab. The process of filing a note also used to be so simple (similar to ToDo). Now you have at least one more button push to categorize. Not intuitive. It is also annoying how the app starts one screen removed from your favorite list. On a positive note, the application is fast. The iPad version is visually more pleasing than the iPhone version. The app is very stable. Please mirror the experience on ToDo. That app is a winner.

This app is HORRIBLE

This is a terrible app and a absolute waste of five dollars. All this app is a worse and costly version of the notes app that the iPad already comes with. And nothing else. There is no advantage to this app. It is just a useless waste of your money. DO NOT GET IT

Well, its ok

I miss the bold, italic and other features it once had.... So sad It went from a

Nice Text Editor

This is a well thought out text editor with some nice enhancements over the built-in notepad app. I really like the Dropbox and Toodledo support. In addition, the ability to easily change font and size are important to me. The integration with Textepander and the other Appigio products is also useful. Some reviewers complained about the lack of text styling such as bold. You should not expect that from a text editor. Use Pages or some other tool if you want rich text. I would like to see an undo feature and the ability to copy files. A customizable button bar and cursor placement enhancements would be appreciated.

Good, Needs iCloud

Ive owned Todo since I bought my first iPad and Ive sat on the fence for Notebook because I love the idea of converting todos to notes, but Im not all that keen about using a manual 3rd-party sync scheme. Ive read all of the Appigo FAQs and blog articles about the benefits of, say, Dropbox (I have one) but for my purposes a simple iCloud sync, like Todo uses would work better for me. I eventually purchased Notebook but I would have bought it long ago if iCloud had been one of its sync options.
